Convenience Store Money Transfer Service

If you are busy on weekdays or if you don´t have a bank account, our “Convenience Store Money Transfer” will suit you. When you request a money transfer online, you will receive a "Convenience Store Order Number" of 17 digits. (5 digit Company Code"20020") + (12 digit Order Number). You can pay money at the counter by getting a receipt(application ticket) at FamiPort with your order number.

How It Works

1. Request Money Tranfer on the SBI Remit website

Please implement a money transfer request at your SBI Remit website account by using (1) recipient's name and (2) recipient's address. You will write down the “Convenience Store ORDER number” and visit the any of Family Mart.

2. Write the Convenience Store Order Number Down

If you complete the remittance request on the website, the Convenience Store Order Number(5 digit + 12 digit) will be displayed. Please go to a Family Mart with the order number and FamiPort Operating Procedure.

*Convenience Store Order Number has 17 digit (5 digit Company Code"20020") + (12 digit Order Number).

3. Operate a FamiPort

Please go to the “International Money Transfer” menu and select the “SBI Remit” menu on the Fami Port, an Internet kiosk, located in a Family Mart. If you type in the order number, you can print a receipt(application ticket).

4. Pay Money At The Counter

Please show the receipt(application ticket) and pay money at the counter. Please ensure that you get a receipt. * Cash only

After you pay, the convenience store can not refund the payment.

5. After a fund is deposited, SBI Remit will begin the remittance procedure and notify you via email once the transaction is completed

Fees will be taken from the deposit and a remittance will be carried out in your choice of currency.
You will receive a detailed statement (fee, exchange rate, reference number etc) on each transaction by email.

SBI Remit processes remittances at approximately 1 p.m. on the day following receipt of a request. The remittance may be delayed due to confirmation procedures.

6. Please inform the reference number to your recipient.

It is essential that you give the reference number to the recipient so they can present it and receive the fund. ID is also required.

7. The recipient picks up the cash at any of MoneyGram agent in the designated country.

The recipient finds a convenient local MoneyGram location and presents the reference number and ID to the cashier to receive funds.
