Notice regarding resumption of remittance service for Nigeria and change of remittance method

Thank you for using SBI Remit.


We are pleased to inform you that the suspended remittance service for Nigeria since December 4, 2020, will be resumed and we have changed the remittance method for Nigeria.

Please check the following for the remittance resumption schedule and changes in the remittance method.


Remittance service resumption date: February 2, 2021 (Tuesday)


Remittance method after resumption

Receipt method: Cash receipt

Currency received: USD

Please note

① Once SBI Remit has received the remittance for Nigeria, the money can be picked up at any MoneyGram receiving location 24 hours after the Reference Number is issued.

② Nigeria is a country subject to remittance restrictions, so prior screening is required before remittance. Customers who wish to remit money should contact the Customer Center in advance.
