1. Existence of compensation, details of compensation, and eligibility for compensation for each specific situation in which losses may occur
(1) Damage due to unauthorized transfer of funds, such as cases in which a third party accesses the user’s remittance reserve account and transfers funds against the user’s will
Users will be compensated for damages resulting from the unauthorized use in question (excluding incidental, indirect, or consequential damages).
In the following cases, users may not be eligible to receive compensation, or the amount of compensation may be reduced.
- ・In the event that information such as ID or password data was leaked
- ・In the event of forgery, alteration, theft, misuse, or other accident related to ID or password data, etc.
- ・When there is no intentional or gross negligence on the part of SBI Remit
(2) Damage due to unauthorized receipt of funds, such as cases in which a third party receives remitted funds without authority
Users will be compensated for damages resulting from the unauthorized use in question (excluding incidental, indirect, or consequential damages), up to the amount of remittance and any remittance fees paid by the user or the amount of remittance received by the user in relation to damages which arise as a result of transactions on this service.
In the following cases, users may not be eligible to receive compensation, or the amount of compensation may be reduced.
- ・In the event that the reference number was known to a third party
- ・When there is no intentional or gross negligence on the part of SBI Remit
