Minor Changes in the Identity Verification using Health Insurance Card
Thank you for using SBI Remit.
Due to the legal changes, from 2020 October 1st, a non-health insurance related company may no longer request their customers to submit information regarding “key code(kigo)”, “number(bangou)” and “insured person’s ID number(hokenshabangou)” written on their health insurance card(Hokenshou).
To maintain conformity with the abovementioned legal changes, when sending documents to SBI Remit for identity verification, please send-in a hard-copy of health insurance card that have cross-out the “key code(kigo)”, “number(bangou)” and “insured person’s ID number(hokenshabangou)” section. SBI Remit will only check the “name”, “date of birth” and “current address” section of health insurance card in the verification process.
