SBI Remit offers international money transfers through the internet, ATMs, convenience stores to more than 200 countries throughout the globe in as little as 10 minutes. Many customers use our “Remit Card”, which allows international money transfers to be made easily by depositing money at an ATM. Bearing that in mind, SBI Remit has decided to partner with Yucho Bank, believing that boosting the availability of the bank’s 32,000 unit-strong network of ATMs would contribute to further satisfying its customers.

In looking at enhanced convenience and stable system operations, SBI Remit has decided to develop a system for connecting with Yucho Bank ATMs through CAFIS(*). It will also issue new Remit Cards, which customers have received well since its establishment in 2010, and its Deposit Cards, upon revamping them with new designs.

SBI Remit will continue to consider customer needs and requests first and foremost. It will leverage the latest financial technology in developing money transfer services that are safe and more convenient as it strives to offer new added value to its customers.

(*) CAFIS (Credit And Finance Information Switching system) is the largest comprehensive cashless payment platform in Japan operated by NTT DATA Corporation. It supports credit cards, debit cards, loyalty cards, e-money, etc. When a cardholder uses a card, the CAT (Credit Authorization Terminal) at the merchant store accesses the host computer of the credit card company, etc. used to check the credit limit and fraudulent use of the card (authorization). In addition, ATMs (automated teller machines) are used to check the cardholder’s credit limit. CAFIS is also used for cash advances at ATMs (automatic teller machines) and for Internet transactions.
