Receiving Funds

SBI Remit has rolled out its cash pick-up service through MoneyGram’s existing network.
Remitted funds are received in approximately 10 minutes* from transfer via MoneyGram’s affiliate offices.
*It may take from a few hours up to two days or so, depending on the remittance method and the business hours/handling conditions of the overseas affiliate office.

 

Recipients can pick up cash at their nearest agent, even if they don’t have a bank account.

Considerations for cash Pick-up

Consumers can now send and receive up to 96,000 USD in a 12-month period

Other Transaction Limits

  • Send or receive up to 10,000 USD per transaction.
  • Send or receive up to 20 transactions in 30 days.
  • Maximum Remittance amount: 10,000 USD in 30 day period, but amount should not exceed 480,000 PHP.
  • When a consumer reaches a combined send/receive total of 24,000 USD in a 6-month period, or 72,000 USD within a 12-month period, the transaction will be placed on hold. The consumer will need to call MoneyGram to complete the transaction. Consumers may be asked for information such as purpose of transaction, source of income and whether they plan to send or receive additional transactions with MoneyGram. This allows both MoneyGram and the consumer to feel comfortable completing the transaction.
  • If you want to receive the amount in USD currency in the Philippines, be sure that there is an available location for receiving USD remittance. Before sending, it is advised that your receiver must check the availability of receiving locations that could cater receive amounts in USD.
  • For Cash Pick-up, all ID’s to be shown at the receiving location must have a photo and signature. If your receiver is a student or a minor, a valid student ID with the principal’s signature is required.
  • Please be reminded that all the contents are subject to change without prior notice and additional regulations/conditions might be applied.

 

SBI’s general reminders to customers

  • Customers should note that depending on the circumstances of their usage, restrictions may be imposed even if it is within the scope of restrictions listed above.
  • Customers should contact the recipient’s agency or contact MoneyGram’s call center to confirm the terms and conditions in place before making a remittance. Particularly, we recommend that customers check the maximum amount of cash available for collection, the type of ID card required at the time of receipt, the purpose of the remittance, and whether there are any restrictions on the recipient.
  • For USD payout receivers can go to M. Lhuilllier, BDO, Metrobank, USSC, Palawan Pawnshop and RD Pawnshop, For large USD payouts we advise receivers to visit Moneygram`s Bank partners such as BDO and Metrobank.
  • Photo ID with signature is required to collect funds. Underage students will need a copy of a valid school ID signed by the school principal.or depends on the compliance rules for minors.

Another way to directly send your money to your receiver’s bank account in the Philippines in Philippine peso. You can send to 60 known banks in the Philippines. Depending on the bank and/or amount, you can send as fast as within 15 minutes. * Maximum per transaction 500,000 PHP but must not exceed the equivalent amount of 1,000,000 JPY

* Minimum per transaction 10.00 PHP

* Compliance accumulated limit 500,000 PHP per day

* Transaction will be on hold for compliance review based on the supporting document should the sender or receiver has exceeded the compliance limit.

* It may not be possible to deposit funds using this service if the receiving bank account is held by a non-resident.

* Note that it will take several business days to cancel any remittance that fails to go through,

You can now remit to your beneficiary’s mobile wallet in the Philippines.

To be able to send money to your beneficiary’s mobile wallet in the Philippines, your beneficiary must be registered at that particular wallet in the Philippines.

 

Considerations for Mobile Wallet

  • There are some limitations with regards to the amount that can be sent to a wallet account in the Philippines.
  • You will see the summarized table of limitations for the amount that can be sent to your receiver wallet account below.
  • Beware that no cancellation is allowed once your transaction is completed.
  • If you are a RAKU-RAKU member (not an online member), for every WALLET RECEIVER ACCOUNT that you register by phone or by application forms, you need to submit a COPY OF PROOF of the wallet account which shows the name, phone number and status depending on the wallet. This way, remittance hassles/errors can be avoided.
  • Before doing any remittance to your receiver’s wallet, be sure to check with your receiver their remaining wallet size available to receive transaction/s to avoid transaction error due to amount limit. Your receiver must be aware of the available remaining wallet size for that period to avoid errors.
