FAQ (Residency period update)

SBI Remit will email you about renewing your residency starting three months before it expires. Please follow the instructions and update your registered residency period

Once the update is complete, a renewal completion email will be sent from SBI Remit.

After the renewal process is finished at SBI Remit, the period of stay information held at SBI Sumishin Net Bank will also be updated automatically.

Subsequently, SBI Sumishin Net Bank will lift the transaction restrictions. Banking transactions will be possible within a few days.

If the transaction restrictions cannot be lifted, SBI Remit will contact you separately.

If you are currently applying for residency period renewal, please notify us that your renewal application is in progress

Once we can confirm that you are in the process of applying for a residency renewal, we will temporarily maintain your access to banking services for a certain period (up to two months from the residency expiration date)

If we do not receive notice of your residency renewal or your application status within three months after expiration, your banking services will be terminated

Please note that if your banking services are terminated, you will need to apply again to resume using them

• Submissions cannot be made from the old app ‘SBI Remit Classic’.

• Submissions cannot be made via organizations, the website, or by sending image files through email, etc.

 

(1) Copy of the online application for residence card renewal procedures

(2) Copies of both sides of the old residence card with the application pending stamp on the back

(3) Copy of the application receipt with the immigration bureau’s seal + a copy showing the applicant’s Remit member number submitted through an organization
